A Brief Insight Into How To Get Wealthy

December 26th, 2007 · No Comments

As I was reading the Science of Getting Rich, a simple but profound insight came upon me.

It is nothing new, you’ve probably already heard or read of it in a different permutation or manner before.

It is this - the rich do not get rich by the increased work that they do, but by the increased value that they give to others.

The difference between the old paradigm and the new is this - work as opposed to value.

You can produce more value without increasing effort.

You can also increase effort without increasing value at all (in fact, sometimes, more effort can decrease value).

The old “work hard to get rich” model is what keeps a vast majority of the population in mediocrity.

In truth, it has always been the “provide maximum value to as many people as possible to get rich” model that is responsible for the (monetary) wealth of the world.

Don’t get me wrong, it is still possible - and necessary - that in order to produce more value to get rich, you still need hard work or increased effort. But your focus should be on the end result - the value that you will create for others and yourself - instead of on the process or the hard work in itself.

So which will you choose - to work hard or get rich?
